Some 300 protesters gathered at Tucson Unified School District offices at 1010 E 10th St on May 3, 2011 to protest a meeting to decide the fate of TUSD's Mexican-American Studies program. Nearly 70 police officers, some in riot gear, were on hand to oversee the event.
